Tesco HQ Armed Forces Outreach Day

On June 25th we took our Armed Forces Day trailer to the Tesco HQ Armed Forces Outreach Day at the Tesco Heart building in Welwyn Garden City.

Jacqueline, Thomas and Mike took the Volvo AOY, and met our friends the 158 Regiment The Royal Logistic Corps at the extraordinary ‘Heart’ building, the HQ of Tesco Plc.

They met lots of Tesco staff from the headquarters, all coming out in their lunch breaks to enjoy the sunshine, and take part in the event. There were also representatives of many locally based squadrons of the army.

They also met Help For Heroes mascot, Hero Bear. Who was ‘rescued’ by Buffaload’s Mike Cadman, whether he needed it or not!

And we met Rhys Little, who is a Manager at Tesco and Tesco Armed Forces Network Chair. He is also a Major in the Army Reserves. Rhys was in his final day of carrying the medicine ball for the Medicine Ball Challenge which supports the Army Benevolent Fund and Combat Stress.
